I love this piece because it speaks so much about media. The image depicts a girl, lost and alone, in the middle of a destroyed area (probably caused by a natural disaster). Instead of helping the girl, the journalists and cameramen are busy taking pictures of her. In fact, the journalist pushes the Red Cross members back from helping her. This kind of shows how we live in ignorance; we see images of people suffering every day. We might retweet these images, or share the link on Facebook, but do we ever stop to think if people are actually getting help? Even more than that, do we, ourselves, do anything to help those suffering in our world?
